Primarily responsible for timely and accurate patient registration resulting in seamless hand off to clinical departments; interviews patient and records accurate demographic and financial information, ensures insurance eligibility, calculates and collects patient portion at time of service; also responsible for accepting patient account payments, balancing daily cash deposit, posting cashiering transactions, answering telephone calls and other duties as assigned.

Healthcare experience preferred, plus excellent computer skills, experience in Microsoft applications, attention to detail, multi-line phone use, a self-starter and excellent customer service skills.  High school diploma or GED equivalent required, Associates Degree preferred.

This is a PRN position, 8 hour shift and can vary anytime between 6am and 10pm.  Varied days as well.  Shifts availability are not guaranteed in a PRN position, but this position COULD average approximately 8 shifts a month.  This is a great opportunity to make extra money for the holidays!  If shifts are available, candidate must work a minimum of 2 per month.  Pay begins at $15 and increases with experience.
