Local students design posters for Stroke Awareness

With brushstroke, penstroke and keystroke, Local students design posters for Stroke Awareness.

Clay County Hospital, in partnership with the Clay County Hospital Auxiliary, has sponsored the second annual Stroke Awareness Poster Contest with area school students. The winner of the contest receives a one time $1000.00 scholarship payable to the students college of choice upon completion of his or her fist semester with a 2.0 or higher GPA. In addition, the poster will be used in conjunction with Clay County Hospital Stroke awareness advertising and will be on display at the hospital.

  1. Ian Wattles from North Clay High School is the First Place Winner of the CCH Stroke Awareness Art Challenge. Ian will be awarded $1,000 from the Clay County Auxiliary upon the completion of his first semester with a 2.0 or higher GPA.
  2. Briano Gutierrez from Flora High School is the 2nd place winner. He will receive a $100 Visa gift card.
  3. Michaela Muzzy from North Clay High School is the 3rd place winner. She will receive a $50 Visa card.

Art is on display in the hallway at Clay County Hospital.
