Heartburn Services

Clay County Hospital Heartburn Center is a service to provide patients with assistance for treating heartburn and other stomach problems. The Heartburn Center is staffed with a Registered Nurse to teach patients about heartburn, refer to a dietician for teaching about foods that effect heartburn, help patients find a healthcare provider if needed, set up diagnostic testing as it is ordered, and just be there to support and answer questions of patients with heartburn and other stomach problems.

What to Expect
Diagnostic Testing

Diagnostic testing available at Clay County Hospital for diagnosis and treatment of Heartburn and related symptoms:

  • Esophageal Manometry
  • Esophagogastroduodenoscopy (scoping of the esophagus and stomach)
  • Bravo pH testing of the stomach
  • H-pylori testing
  • Esophogram
  • Modified Barium Swallow
Surgical Options

Surgical options provided at Clay County Hospital for heartburn treatment:

  • Laparoscopic or open Nissen Fundoplication
  • Transoral Incisionless Fundoplication
*Certain criteria may have to be met to have these surgical procedures.
