Clay County Hospital has purchased innovative UV-C Technology Room Sanitizers. The units protect against 35 pathogens, including Covid and its variants. The UV Room Sanitizer inactivates pathogens with germicidal ultraviolet light. This energy alters the DNA of microorganisms to prevent them from reproducing and causing them to become non-pathogenic or incapable of causing disease. The room sanitizer, designed to supplement manual surface cleaning, provides another layer of assurance by treating surfaces after routine cleaning. It provides 99.99% inactivation of over 35 pathogens in 10 minutes for an average patient room.
