CCH’s 3rd annual Women’s Wellness Retreat, Saturday, April 27th at Johnny and Junes. Doors open at 8 am with blood test voucher sales 8 – 9:30. Men are welcome! We’ll have vendors, health information and cash & carry shopping! Presentations start at 9:30 and end at 11:30.
Speakers will include:
Stacey Rhodes, MT-BC; 9:30 am
Stacey Rhodes is a Board Certified Music Therapist and the founder of Tri-Music, a new non- profit that has a mission to raise the standard of living in through music therapy, music education, and music entertainment. Stacey uses music to help people grow and develop and to give them support in becoming their best selves. She will be speaking on Creative Self Care and how you can use music every day to support your health and wellness. Stacey loves singing, leading drum circles and writing songs and she will be incorporating this into a fun opening talk that will be sure to inspire and uplift you!
Kathy Lynch, RN; 10 am
Kathy Lynch, RN, BSN is our second speaker at the Women’s Wellness Retreat on Saturday, April 27th at Johnny and Junes. Kathy’s presentation will begin at 10 am. Kathy is a Behavioral Health Nurse with over 28 years of psychiatric experience. She is employed by Clay County Hospital and Medical Clinics and is currently enrolled in the Psychiatric/Mental Health Nurse Practitioner Program. In her presentation, Kathy will be focusing on learning coping strategies to deal with the many stressors of everyday life. Life is a journey and quality of life is the goal.
Catherine Deters, FNP-BC; 10:30 am
Catherine is an Advanced Practice Provider for Clay County Hospital, specializing in pediatrics and women’s health. She sees patients at the Flora Clinic. Catherine will be speaking on preventative screenings including colorectal, mammograms, pap smears, immunizations and the recommended ages for each. She will also address what to expect in an office visit.
Janette Krutsinger, Owner of Custom Calorie Meals; 11 am
Janette’s Custom Calorie Meals is a healthy food-prep and delivery business, located in Flora. Janette specializes in preparing and creating homemade meals, entrees, snacks, and desserts that are low-carb, gluten-free, grain-free, sugar-free, and absent of highly processed ingredients. Janette was a public-school educator for 18 years: teaching, coaching, athletic director, and the final 7 years, as the principal for the junior high school in Flora. The summer of 2016, she made a transition in careers to spend more time with her family. Janette is a certified Food Safety Manager through the National Registry of Food Safety Professionals. She also a certified Food Service Sanitation Manager (FSSMC) by the Illinois Department of Public Health (IDPH). She will be speaking on gluten-free baking and cooking with a handout of tips and tricks for success in the kitchen. Janette’s food-prep experience includes several gluten-free eating plans:
