Description
The Clinical Nurse Educator supports the professional growth and clinical competence of nursing staff by providing evidence-based education through just-in-time training, formal and informal learning opportunities, and guided self-study. This role supports and participates in the preceptorship and development of newly employed licensed nursing staff, as well as staff identified with specific learning or training needs, to promote safe, high-quality patient care.
The Clinical Nurse Educator also serves as an instructional resource and support for the high school Health Occupations instructor, including the Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) course instructor. Additionally, the Clinical Nurse Educator supports the Manager of Clinical Education in the development and growth of the Education Department’s healthcare workforce initiatives through the development and maintenance of apprenticeship programs and other workforce development programs.
Education Needed: Associates Degree in Nursing is required; Bachelor's Degree in Nursing is preferred; 3-5 years nursing experience in a clinical nursing unit required. BLS, ACLS and PALS.
This position is a full-time role position, Monday through Friday day shift, 40 hours per week. Pay begins at $38.09 an hour and increases with experience.
