Description
The employee will be responsible for running the cash register in the cafeteria during lunch service, preparing cold items for patient trays, keeping up with patient diet orders, basic food prep including preparing desserts and salads, delivering items to other departments, waiting on customers in the cafeteria, dish washing and keeping workspaces clean and sanitized.
An excellent candidate is able to demonstrate excellence in customer service skills while keeping with CCH’s mission, vision, and values, along with providing customer service to patients, visitors, and staff in a friendly and timely manner and by communicating, coordinating, and cooperating with coworkers/staff. A team player and friendly attitude is a key characteristic for a candidate looking to fulfill this role.
A high school diploma or GED is preferred, but if no high School Diploma or equivalent, candidate must demonstrate competency in reading/writing/oral communication skills and employee must obtain at minimum Food Handler's Certificate within 30 days of employment. Knowledge of therapeutic diets is preferred.
Must be able to stand/walk on feet for extended periods of time, able to lift 50 lbs, frequent bending/kneeling, able to pick up items from the floor, able to use a step stool/small ladder safely to reach tall items and for cleaning purposes.
Full-time position with weekday shift of 11:00 am to 7:30 pm, varying days of the week (Sunday through Saturday). Pay begins at $16.73 and increases with experience.
