May is Stroke Awareness Month and Clay County Hospital has chosen Ashley Henderson, a Senior at Flora High School, as this year’s recipient of the Stroke Awareness Art Scholarship Award.

Ashley will receive a $1,000 scholarship to the college of her choice. In addition to her award, Autumn Eichholz, a Junior at Clay City High School, has been awarded second place; tying for third place is Jasmine Andruss, a Junior at North Clay High School, and Rhana Headley, a Senior at Flora High School.

All of the artwork is on display in the Emergency Department hallway and will remain there through the month of May. The first place artwork will remain framed and on display.
