Description
The person in this role is responsible for preparing patient meals according to physician ordered diets, preparing items for cafeteria service, serving lunch to cafeteria customers, completes weekly cleaning assignments, following federal food codes, washing dishes, maintaining a clean and sanity work environment and other duties as assigned.
Skills needed include knowledge of food sanitation, food production, and good customer service skills. Knowledge of therapeutic diets is beneficial. Must be able to lift and carry 50 lbs., stand for long periods of time plus frequent kneeling and bending.
Education: A High School Diploma or GED is preferred but not required. Certified food protection manager certificate is preferred, but if not already obtained prior to hire, then must be obtained within 2 months of hire. Must also obtain food handler's certificate within 2 weeks of hire.
Role is full-time, 40 hours a week, second shift (evenings) with varying days and times and pay begins at $17.73 and increases with experience.
