This job description is for that of a RN apprentice which will be a part of our new RN Apprenticeship Program. You must apply here as well as submit other components to complete the application process by contacting Kamy Vail at 618-662-2131, ext. 3207.  Deadline to apply: June 1st.

Requirements to apply for the program include:

  • Must be a CNA in the state of IL
  • Must be accepted into the IECC RN Program that begins Fall of 2024.  IECC's deadline to apply is March 1st. You should have notification of acceptance into their program by April 1st.
  • Must have a valid IL drivers license
  • Must have a positive attitude and be a team player
  • Must be ambitious and have a drive to succeed

  • Pay for classroom hours for nursing courses
  • Fully paid RN tuition

Job duties as a CNA:

Assisting med/surg patients with ADL's and documenting in electronic health record, including but not limited to walking, bathing, assisting with meals, obtaining vital signs, and I & O and documentation.  Employee will attend IECC RN program and advance to LPN status upon licensure and then to RN upon program completion and licensure.  Will also comply with the full apprenticeship agreement.

Job duties as an RN:

Perform nursing care to patients of all ages under the scope of IL RN license as well as the policies/procedures of CCH.  Medication administration; Documentation; Collaborate with all members of the healthcare team; Electronic health record documentation.
