The laboratory at Clay County Hospital offers services 24 hours a day to in-patients, emergency, and out-patients of all ages. Clay County Hospital was awarded accreditation by the College of American Pathologists.

Services Provided

Our services include General Chemistry, Hematology, Coagulation, Urinalysis, routine therapeutic drug monitoring, and routine Serology as well as a wide variety of other tests for locan and out of town providers. An order with appropriate clinical diagnosis, signed by the ordering provider is required to complete the labs.

What to Expect

Outpatients are required to register with admitting before lab procedures are performed. When the patient arrives in the lab, his/her orders will be checked, and the appropriate tubes of blood and/or specimens will be collected. The testing will be performed by a licensed laboratory technologist. The results will be sent to the ordering provider. Critical results will be called to the provider or representative immediately. Most results will be available in MyChart.
